Satellite Finder: Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-14

By using Satellite Finder ("the app"), made by Gnurt, you agree to these terms.

What the app does

The app calculates where a satellite dish should point from your position and helps you aim it with a map, the Sun, the phone's compass and its tilt sensor. The results are a guide: phone sensors can be disturbed by metal, magnets and cables, positions from GPS can be off, and satellite data can change. The final adjustment should always be made with your receiver's signal quality screen or a signal meter.

Safety

Installing a dish can mean working at height. Work in daylight, keep away from power lines, use proper equipment, do not work alone, and follow local rules and building regulations. You are responsible for your own safety and for any installation you carry out. If in doubt, use a professional installer.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Gnurt is not liable for any damage, injury or loss arising from use of the app or of its results.
