Sun Path: Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-14

By using Sun Path & Golden Hour Tracker ("the app"), made by Gnurt, you agree to these terms.

What the app does

The app computes where the Sun and Moon are and when they rise and set, from published astronomical formulas, and shows them as times, charts, a compass and a drawing over the camera picture. Times are for a flat horizon; hills and buildings change what you see. The compass and camera views follow the phone's magnetic sensor, which can be several degrees off near metal or magnets.

Not for safety-critical use

Do not rely on the app where safety, law or money depends on exact times or directions, such as navigation, legal twilight for flying or hunting, or the design of solar installations. Never look at the Sun directly or through a camera lens.

Purchases

Sun Path Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play, with Google Play's refund rules. There is no subscription.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Gnurt is not liable for any damage, injury or loss arising from use of the app or of its results.
